About your photo  : For best results make sure your photo has some background between a persons head and the edge of the photo.

Also please try and send the original photo from the camera/device it was taken on or if using a photo then please scan it in to a computer and then send it. Sending a photo of a photo will not achieve the best results.

Please note : Due to these being natural slate, Slight variations in size, shape, texture and edge finish are completely normal and to be expected ,This is what makes each slate unique!
